A recent Lexington-Herald Leader editorial criticized two Kentucky non-profit organizations for their lavish spending.  KESA, one of the non-profits identified, is a Kentucky workers’ compensation insurance company criticized for spending approximately $80,000 for luxury boxes at Louisville’s brand new KFC Yum! Arena .  A spokesperson for KESA responded to the criticism by noting the suite will facilitate KESA in conducting more “one-on-one marketing” to independent insurance agents and employers.  Dismas Charities of Louisville underwent similar criticism in the editorial.
