The Kentucky Workers’ Compensation Nominating Commission has recommended nine individuals to the Governor for consideration as candidates to fill three vacant ALJ positions.  Candidates recommended for filling the position presently held by Caroline Pitt Clark are Udell B. Levy, a Louisville attorney; Greg Schabell, a Northern Kentucky attorney who was previously recommended by the WCNC for appointment; and Jane Rice Williams, a Harlan attorney with Rice, Hendrickson & Williams.  Candidates recommended for filling the position currently held by Richard Joiner are William Bruce Cowden, Jr., a former ALJ and a former Workers’ Compensation Board Member; Thomas G. Polites, a Lexington attorney with Wilson, Polites and McQueen; and Tyra L. Redus, a Louisville attorney who was previously recommended by the WCNC for appointment.Candidates recommended for filling the position of Joseph W. Justice are Steven G. Bolton, a Frankfort attorney; William E. Brown, II, a Lexington attorney with the firm of Casey Bailey & Maines and Richard Couch, an Eastern Kentucky attorney.
